Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Carnival 2023: The Biggest Winter Event in the Canary Islands

The Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Carnival is back bigger than ever. The three-week-long event has been celebrated for over 50 years and has grown to become one of the island’s major tourist attractions. It is an annual celebration held in Spain’s Canary Islands.

Rivalling Rio de Janeiro’s Carnival, the carnival consists of colours, costumes and of course, parades! A number of events and parades take place throughout the streets daily, including the Daytime Carnival, Martes de Carnival, Queen Gala and Adult Costume Competition. It is also the cheapest carnival in the world, with no tickets required and food and drink prices remaining on the low during carnival season.
