It’s hot! It’s wild! It’s Daytona Bike Week coming your way to take you on another exciting ride. The state of Florida, USA is once again proudly holding its long-standing tradition of sponsoring the annual motorcycle event as it has done so since the conception of the rally in 1937.

This sports racing event has never been more popular, attracting hundreds of thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts across the country who keep coming back to enjoy the thrill. The Daytona Bike Week is a world-class rally, famed for its brutal outcomes and vicious competitors.

Bike Week kicks off when the crowd bursts into applause as they cheer on their favorite bikers whose Harley Davidson bikes, leave behind sand and smoke as they race their way to the finish line. The rush of adrenaline oozing from the event is truly what makes Daytona Bike rally a special occasion where everyone can simply come together and have fun.

Of course, motorcycle racing isn’t the only entertainment the event has to offer. Throughout the week you will find yourself absorbed in festivities like concerts, parties, street festivals – you name it. The event has always left its supporters re-energized and reinvigorated.

‘Bike racing enthusiasts can’t miss out on this 10-day whirlwind of concerts, showcases, street festivals, parties and races.’

Your experience at Daytona Bike Week

Although the main area of this event is on Daytona Beach, Florida, it’s amazing to see how the entire county gets involved. During this heavy-duty motorcycle week, the entire community is buzzin’ with bike-themed events at nearly all times of the day.

The best part is that you can find so many things to do and people to meet just by following the music and engines. It’s nothing short of impressive how many live music performances are going on around the town. From Dirty Harry’s, Bank & Blues Club to the Full Moon Saloon on Main Street you will not find a shortage of rock, funk and blues music.

There are several stages in Daytona Beach that literally play music from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. every day. It truly is a party that doesn’t stop. If you are into big-time hogs, this event is the mecca.

Everywhere you look seems to be another bike rally with motorcycles lining up and down Deland’s Woodland Boulevard.

History of Daytona Bike Week

Surprisingly, Daytona Bike Week has a long tale of history dating back to 1937. It started as the Daytona 200 race won by Ed Kretz. After WWII the event gained more popularity and was promoted by the co-founder of NASCAR “Big Bill” France.

The event has gone on to become one of the world’s most popular motorcycle festivals. Over 500,000 people make their way to the rally for the 10-day event. Its only rival in the U.S. is the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota.

Things to do in Florida

Given its unique cultural geography, there is no state quite like the Sunshine state of Florida where tourists can’t make up their minds about where to start.

Florida’s coastline of 1,300 miles has been a main source of attraction for its visitors. Its Gulf Coast Beaches are among the nation’s most glorified, with unparalleled sunset views. The Northwest beaches are deep and inviting playing host to visitors far and wide.

Florida’s family-friendly theme parks have been known to represent the state’s natural wonders like the Walt Disney World and Universal Complexes in Orlando to Busch Gardens in Tampa and many other zoos and botanical gardens.

What to eat in Daytona Beach

Florida is famed for its seafood delicacies and the Florida stone crab does not disappoint. This delicacy is served cold with a mustard sauce for dipping and has always had its consumers coming back for more.

A visit to Florida can never be complete without having its Key Lime Pie for dessert. Made with fresh limes, egg yolks, condensed milk and topped with meringue, this sweet treat is easily the state’s best creation.

If you consider yourself a foodie and want to eat like a local there are plenty of options for you to try. Make sure to check out Ponce Inlet and Ormond Beach for a burst of flavorful fresh dishes. But food isn’t everything! Plan on heading over to the Daytona Beach Ale Trail for craft breweries and tap houses and a day filled with drinking.
