The Tunarama Festival is the home to the globally well-known Tuna Toss. It is held annually in Port Lincoln on the Eyre Peninsula of South Australia over the weekend closest to the Australia day public holiday in January. This splendid event has been on for quite some time and the 59th Tunarama festival will happen in January 2020.
Tunarama comes with a number of amazing participation events, arts and cultural displays, some of the best and fresh seafood in the world, and local market stalls, this is definitely something for the entire family to relish. The festival being a family-focused festival, all the children’s activities and performances are free of charge.

Fascinating enough is that Spencer Gulf King Prawn’s Eyre Square is the food and wine provider for the Tunarama festival which showcases the best products from the region. The square will be stationed on the Port Lincoln foreshore grass, overlooking the stunning Boston bay. With performances from local and South Australian artist on the ABSTIA festival stage, you wouldn’t want to miss out.
