Bridge Day 2019: West Virginia’s Most Sensational Festival

Each year on the third Saturday of October, West Virginia’s New River Gorge Bridge becomes a hot spot for jaw-dropping acts. BASE jumpers perform thrilling feats by jumping from the bridge to the New River Gorge as thousands of spectators cheer them on. Pulsating energy fills the air as several rappelling teams ascend and descend from a fixed rope.

Situated 876 feet above the beautiful New River, this landmark bridge is renowned for being the site of Bridge Day, West Virginia’s biggest one-day festival, and one of North America’s top 100 festivals!

‘Bridge Day is one full day of excitement and entertainment – from BASE
jumping and rappelling to unique food and live music, this is one historic
festival you’re not going to want to miss.’
