Every summer for a week, a sleepy town called Nyon in Switzerland comes alive with throngs of young people from all over the globe. They are all here for one damn good reason; a bucket list-worthy event known as the Paleo Festival Nyon one of the best festivals in Switzerland. The six-day concert features over 200 shows on several stages spread out of 80 hectares of land, with lots of exciting acts and activities. It is no doubt Switzerland’s biggest music festival, one that has undergone several evolutions over the past few decades, going from strength to strength. Producing the festival is a work of the heart, thanks to the efforts of 5,000 volunteers who abide by the common principles of social responsibility, environmental protection, and respect for all.
The festival takes place near the picturesque Leman Lake, a scenic outdoor location straddled by Lausanne and Geneva. Copious amounts of Swiss wine, cheese, local produce, and delicious food on site will serve as your fuel to rock it out the entire week. There will be over 100 food stalls offering mouthwatering dishes from around the world, and of course, local specialties from the mountainous areas of Switzerland. In between sets, the festival has curated several relaxing experiences and recreational activities to help you wind down. Head over to the La Pl’Asse, a halfway house located between the campsite and festival proper; it will be filled with food and craft stalls as well as entertainment.
