Martina Russo is a Climber, Snowboarder, Founder of Action Sports Translator and Co-Founder of Protect Our Winters Italy

Martina Russo grew up in Milan, Italy but always new the city life wasn’t for her. She spent her winter and summer months in the Alps. Studying translation at University Martina moved to Germany and Switzerland and hasn’t been back for 14 years.

Martina started translating as a freelancer enabling her to live remotely as a ‘digital nomad’ before that was even a thing. Being a keen snowboarder, climber and mountain biker she saw a gap in the market with the larger action sports and outdoor brands having questionable translation on their websites, products and marketing material. So she decided to build a specialised multilingual translation service and has worked with the likes of Salomon, Patagonia, O’Neill Wetsuits and Komoot.

Tune in to find out how Martina started her translation agency, working and living remotely in a van, becoming the co-founder of Protect Our Winters Italy and loads more!

Oli Russell-Cowan

The concept for Rad Season came about when I was trekking around Latin America. I found it difficult to find cool events and festivals going on that were a bit different and had an element of adventure and general radness to them. I knew that there was always something rad worth going to somewhere in the world, but there was no single platform bringing them together for like-minded people. With over 15 years experience in international business development, spanning multiple industries including action sports, events, media, digital, ICT, travel and tourism, I decided to combine them all with Rad Season.
