Ian Taylor is an adventurer, Everest summiteer, expedition leader, entrepreneur and founder of Ian Taylor Trekking

On a trip to Peru with a friend Ian had a conversation about climbing Mount Everest. Everyone advised him against it and professionals said he didn’t have what it takes. In 2007 they ventured off to climb four mountains on four continents with Everest being the final destination. In 2008 Ian Taylor became the youngest Irishman to climb to the top of the world and upon doing so raised €100,000 to build the Mt. Everest primary school in Uganda with Irish charity Fields of Life.

Ian found his purpose and set out on building his own trekking company helping groups and individuals to achieve their goals of trekking to some of the world’s highest mountain ranges. He has over 20 years expedition experience, led over 150 treks and has climbed Kilimanjaro 35 times with the goal to summit Kilimanjaro 50 times!

Tune in to find out how Ian got into trekking, what are some of his favorite expedition locations around the world and what projects he has coming up with Ian Taylor Trekking.

Oli Russell-Cowan

The concept for Rad Season came about when I was trekking around Latin America. I found it difficult to find cool events and festivals going on that were a bit different and had an element of adventure and general radness to them. I knew that there was always something rad worth going to somewhere in the world, but there was no single platform bringing them together for like-minded people. With over 15 years experience in international business development, spanning multiple industries including action sports, events, media, digital, ICT, travel and tourism, I decided to combine them all with Rad Season.
