Summerburst Stockholm 2019: Summer Starts and Ends Here

Summerburst Stockholm is an annual music festival that brings the biggest and best names in EDM to the heart of Sweden. The festival regularly welcomes more than 10,000 visitors to party at a unique venue in the Swedish capital. For the first time in the festival’s 9-year history, Summerburst Stockholm has moved from its original date in early June to officially close out the festival season at the end of August.

This year’s edition of Summerburst Stockholm will once again welcome the biggest and best headlining acts in electronic dance music. UK DJ and producer Calvin Harris will headline Summerburst Stockholm, performing at one of the very few festival events throughout the summer. Also headlining the event is Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Tiesto, Will Sparks and R3hab. Salvatore Ganacci, Tigerlilly, Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman and many more also make up the 2019 lineup.

Summerburst Stockholm takes place at Stockholms Stadion in Stockholm, Sweden. You can find the event at Lidingövägen, 114 33 Stockholm, Sweden. 

How to get around Stockholm

The nearest major airport is Stockholm Arlanda Airport, located approximately 30 minutes from the city centre. The Arlanda Express train offers direct transfers between the airport and city centre for 295 SEK (around $30). Stockholm features an extensive public transport system made up of buses, light rail, trams, metro and trains, making it easy to get around. You can purchase single-use or reloadable SL travel cards, which can be used on any mode of public transport. You can also purchase tickets online through the SL app. 

The festival is easily accessible by public transport. The nearest subway station is Stadion, located just a short walk from the festival entrance. Bus routes 4, 72 and 94 also travel to the venue. There are also designated Uber and ride-share drop off and pick up points located around the festival. The venue is also only a 30-minute walk from the central station and city centre.

Things to do in Stockholm

The city of Stockholm offers a wide range of things to see and do. One of the main attractions is Gamla Stan; the city’s old town. Home to a variety of colourful buildings dating back to the 17th-century, you can find a number of popular attractions; such as The Royal Palace, the Nobel Museum and the Storkyrkan Church.

You can also find Stortorget Square, home to the iconic red and yellow buildings. Other popular attractions include Djurgården Island, which is home to a range of renowned museums such as the ABBA museum and the Vasa Museum. Here you can also find the Gröna Lund amusement park and a number of parks and nature reserves. You can also hire kayaks and pedal boats and explore along the river.
