You’re invited to get down and dirty at the colorful tents spread out through the venue. Come in your best festival get up and mingle with over 15,000 free spirits in an environment uniquely decorated with crazy artistic design to create that awesome vibe only Rocking the Daisies is known for!

Festival goers stay at the camp grounds, which offer excellent glamping options. There will be a lot of fantastic food stalls throughout the festival, plus bars selling delicious libations from cocktails, beers, Cloof wines, and more.

Check out the different stages and dance to your own rhythm whether that means hip hop, dream pop, rap, drum and bass, beatboxing… there will be something for everyone.

And it’s much more than a music festival: for three whole days, you’ll get to immerse in a wide spectrum of epic experiences from fairies with inflatable wings running around, a parade featuring colorful mystical creatures, fire-breathing humans, gargoyles in deadlight, insane magicians, virtual reality adventures, and many more surprises.

Where is Rocking the Daisies 2019

Rocking the Daisies takes place at the picturesque Cloof Wine Estate grounds, located just outside Darling and around an hour’s drive from Cape Town.

How to get around Cape Town

The festival grounds are equipped with parking areas, and everything you’ll need will be within walking distance. There’s no need for any kind of motorized transport during the three days.

For exploring Cape Town’s attractions, your best bet is to rent a car. There are car rental companies all over town (remember to drive on the left!). If you prefer to hire a cab, there are metered taxis but you can also use Grab or Taxify. Other efficient options for public transportation, depending on your destination, are the minibus taxis, bus, scooter, and train.

Where to stay for Rocking the Daisies 2019

Rocking the Daisies provides festival goers with luxury tented accommodation in Daisyland, where you get to choose from 1 up to 5-star camping set ups good for two. The glamping packages come with 24-hour security for privacy and safety, beds, showers and toilets, and private parking. The packages vary to accommodate those on a budget, and those who want to splurge.

Women are also invited to check out the awesome girls-only Ladies Camp, a safe haven for women to relax and make new friends. The Ladies Camp will also be the venue of several fun experiences designed just for women. The festival ticket for the Ladies Camp includes access to clean bathrooms and showers, plug points, and make-trailers but you’ll need to bring your own bedding and tent.

Camp sites in General 1, 2, 3 and the Priority Camp are available too – just bring your own bed and tent.

Things to do in Cape Town

Cape Town is known for its jaw-dropping, diverse landscapes. Table Mountain should definitely be on your bucket list; it is perhaps Cape Town’s number one attraction. You can choose to ride the cable car, climb it, or just appreciate it from a few miles away. If you have the luxury of time, driving around the Cape of Good Hope is highly recommended. Other breathtaking attractions you shouldn’t miss include Lion’s Head, Stellenbosch and Franshhoek, Boulders Beach (where you get to meet penguins in their natural habitat!).

Check out the charming, colorful neighborhood of Bo-Kaap, which is chock-full of historical attractions and a popular site for film shoots. History and art buffs will be spoiled for choice with all the galleries and museums found throughout town.
