The vibrant music festival has been held annually in Bogotá, Colombia since its inception in 1995, drawing hundreds of thousands of crowds in its wake. What makes this rock music festival stand out from the other ones is that it’s free of charge. This is why, it boasted about 400,000 people in its 2004 event and has continued to rally more crowds ever since.
Rock al Parque has been declared the largest rock festival in Colombia and the most significant one in the Latin American continent owing to its international reach and free cost. Much of its rock genres include punk, alternative and heavy metal.

The festival has continued to expand in its popularity, hosting multiple artists both national and international in an effort to support indie rock and introduce new talents. Iconic musical legends such as Behemoth, Vader and Apocalyptica have taken the stage to entrance and enthrall masses, unleashing fiery cheers and applause.
The festival has been acclaimed by both fans and critics alike for its uplifting and unifying message where money and finances no longer matter. It represents a world where people can leave all their troubles, issues and problems behind and embrace the rhythmic beauty of the Rock al Parque.
Concert-goers are humbly requested to avoid wearing belts with metallic buckles for safety purposes. They will be denied entry if they are caught smoking or with alcohol.
The event makes it clear that it follows a strict code of safety policies which are to be followed strictly, despite its outdoor friendly environment.

The festival takes place in a period of three days in the city of Bogotá, Colombia in the Simon Bolivar Park. It will be broadcasted live over Canal Capital and Radiónica. The concert is scheduled between 1:00 and 10:00 p.m.
By air travel, foreigners and visitors from abroad are requested to use the El Dorado International Airport to reach the city.
By car travel, the Bogotá City Sightseeing Tour with Optional Lunch and Cable Car Ride is available to offer you a ride for sightseeing and reaching the park in time. Bookings in advance are recommended to secure their services.
Plenty of bus services are available that serve tourists and residents of Bogotá, however, the primary bus services are provided by them TransMilenio. Bookings in advance will ensure that you reach your destination on time.
Since the Park is located in Bogotá, the city has opened plenty of hotels and resorts near the park in order to accommodate its fans and visitors. The bookings come at a competitive price and provide comfortable and cozy rooms and suites for relaxation purposes.

It has museums like the Museo Botero del Banco de la Republica, Museo Santa Clara and Museo Historico de la Policia also make up for an exciting tour.
