Pumpkin 2019: Broken Therapy

Germany’s hardest halloween has announced its official return in 2019. The 9th annual edition of Pumpkin will follow the theme ‘Broken Therapy’ and see the return of all your hardstyle favourites. The overnight event, has grown to become one of the biggest and best halloween celebrations in Europe, selling out Oberhausen’s famous Turbinenhalle each year. The warehouse style venue combines all the beloved elements of old school rave culture with a contemporary twist. Recreating traditional underground raves with modern talent, Pumpkin is not only a festival, but an experience.

“Are you ready to lose your mind”

The overnight event features all of your harder styles favourites under the one roof. Each year, six stages host over 50 of the biggest and best names in the scene. Ranging from hardstyle to hardcore, rawstyle and more, this event has a stage for everyone! Main stage favourites Da Tweekaz, D-Block & S-te-Fan, Wildstylez and Brennan Heart regularly make an appearance at the annual celebration. Hardcore heroes Angerfist, Miss K8 and Korsakoff are also highly anticipated acts each year. A large range of the biggest international acts as well as local talent, make up the constantly world-class lineup.

Where to view Pumpkin 2019

Pumpkin takes place in Germany’s favourite concert hall Turbinenhalle in Oberhausen (Im Lipperfeld 23, 46047 Oberhausen, Germany).

How to get to Oberhausen

Oberhausen is easily accessible by car as well as public transport. The nearest major airport is Düsseldorf International Airport, which is just under 45 minutes south of the city. A generous amount of parking is also available at the venue.

Travelling to the event by public transport is the quickest and easiest option. Upon arrival at Oberhausen Central Station, a quick tram ride will transport you to Lipperfeld, where the venue is located directly outside.

Where to stay for Pumpkin 2019

Multiple Hotel options are available in the city of Oberhausen, however, there are no budget friendly options. A number of airbnbs are available in the city and are within walking distance of the venue.

Most visitors stay in the nearby major cities of Duisburg or Düsseldorf, which are a quick train ride away. As the event does run overnight, many visitors choose to travel directly to and from the event and do not require accomodation. Lockers are available at both Duisburg and Düsseldorf Central Station, to store luggage throughout the duration of the event.

Things to do at Pumpkin

There are many things about Pumpkin that stick out from your average festival. Located at the popular warehouse style venue, Turbinenhalle is known for it’s unique underground structure. Multiple rooms are connected by underground tunnels, giving visitors quick and easy access  from stage to stage. Tunnels also connect to a chill out area, where a variety of local and international cuisine is available to purchase. You can enjoy photo walls, inflatable rides including a mechanical bull, and other activities in this area.

What sets BE24-7 events apart from the rest is their unique VIP offers. While a General Admission grants you access to the main areas of the event, a VIP upgrade has a range of enticing perks. Expedited entry, private bars and viewing decks are among the typical benefits but the most popular thing about this tier is the buffet! A VIP ticket grants you access to an exclusive buffet and open bar, without even having to leave the main stage! Traditional local cuisine is served alongside unlimited beer and non-alcoholic beverages. You can get all of these perks at a fraction of the cost of most one-day festivals.
