Forecastle Festival represents a place where people come together for a good time. Founded in 2002, Forecastle Festival has grown from a small community event to one of the most anticipated summer events in the USA. The festival annually draws in tens of thousands of fans from across the world to the scenic waterfront park in Louisville, Kentucky. In addition to showcasing the hottest musical acts, the festival consistently promotes local talent and focuses on environmental activism and outdoor recreation.

Forecastle Festival is bringing a range of popular headlining acts, alongside new and up-and-coming talent. The Killers will headline the first day of the event, alongside Portugal The Man, Judah & The Lion, Highly Suspect and Chromeo. Saturday will be headlined by Anderson. Paak & The Free Nationals. Sharing the stage will be Maggie Rogers, Playboi Carti, Midland, Nelly and more. The Avett Brothers will headline the final day, sharing the stage with Chvrches, First Aid Kit, Andrew Bird and more.

How to get around Louisville

The festival encourages visitors to travel responsibly and sustainably. Parking is available at The Galt House, as well as a number of other parking lots located around the festival grounds. Cycling to the festival is strongly encouraged, as it saves money and reduces your carbon footprint.

A complimentary bike valet will be available to all patrons who choose to ride to the event. Rideshare options are also available throughout the city, with a special pick up and drop off point located on the north side of E Witherspoon Ave.

Things to do in Louisville

Louisville is Kentucky’s largest city and offers a range of attractions and activities. The home of Forecastle Festival, Waterfront Park, is a popular attraction in the city. The 85-acre park features walking and running paths, water features, play areas, public art and more.

The Louisville Zoo exhibits a range of exotic animals as well as a splash park. The local amusement park Kentucky Kingdom, features a number of thrill rides and a water park. The city also features a range of popular museums, such as the Kentucky Derby Museum and Muhammad Ali Center.
