Decibel outdoor 2019: The loudest festival on earth!

Decibel outdoor is the ultimate festival destination ‘where you can live LOUD!’. The annual harder styles event is returning to Beekse Bergen in the Netherlands this summer, bigger and better than ever. Over 200 local and international artists from across all genres of the harder styles will showcase their renowned sounds.

This year, Decibel outdoor is expanding its weekend experience to three days. The festival grounds will be bigger than ever before, giving visitors more to see and experience. The additional day will host an entirely different genre of music from the previous day, and artists will also play extended sets. The extended event will run longer each day, offering more dark hours for the impressive light shows to be brought to the next level. Extended hours also mean extended end shows and Decibel has been known to put in jaw-dropping firework finales.

 How to get around Hilvarenbeek

The town of Hilvarenbeek is located in the southern part of the Netherlands, just outside Tilburg. The nearest major city and airport is Eindhoven, located approximately 30 minutes east of the venue. Visitors can travel to Tilburg via frequent local trains and buses. If you are travelling from the northern part of the Netherlands or neighbouring countries, you can also travel to the city via intercity trains; as well as coach services such as FlixBus.

Visitors travelling to the festival via public transport can travel to Tilburg Station, where frequent festival shuttle buses run between the station and festival grounds. A range of travel packages are also available, which include festival tickets, accommodation and return bus transfers to cities in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium.

Where to stay for Decibel outdoor

Decibel outdoor offers a range of accommodation options and travel packages for visitors. The ‘weekend district’ is the event’s official campsite, and offers a number of lodging options from pre-pitched tents to log cabins and bungalows. Visitors can bring their own tents and camping supplies, or purchase pre set up tents or tepees; which accommodation 1-2 people.

Camping spots can also be reserved in advance for large groups, as well as mobile camping vehicles. Large groups can reserve a ‘safari tents’ or ‘bungalow tents’ for up to 8 people. Other options include lodges, log cabins, chalets and bungalows; which can accommodate up to 16 people. The festival also offers a number of official hotels, which include free transfers to and from the festival site.

Alternatively, visitors can stay in nearby cities and take advantage of the festival shuttles from Tilburg Station. The city of Tilburg, as well as the nearby city of Eindhoven both, offer a range of accommodation options such as hostels, hotels and Airbnbs. You can explore nearby options below.

Things to do at Decibel outdoor

Hosted at Beekse Bergen, Decibel outdoor features a range of natural attractions within the festival grounds. The main stage is situated adjacent to the beach, which also offers a range of activities including pedal boat rentals. Like all good Dutch festivals, Decibel also features carnival rides; including a Ferris wheel directly in front of the main stage for the perfect panoramic view of the entire event. With bigger and better festival grounds in 2019, visitors will have the opportunity to explore even more of the stunning location and discover a tonne of hidden gems.

The renowned ‘weekend district’ campgrounds also feature a range of attractions and activities. In addition to the official pre and after parties, you can always find something to do at any hour of the day. The music never goes out at the campgrounds, with the ‘Hangout Club’ hosting headliners 24 hours a day! The ‘Fiesta Bar’ also offers a similar party experience for die-hard ravers. This year’s extended event also promises even more 24-hour facilities, as well as pop-up parties and hilarious activities.
