AMF Festival: The Most Impressive Indoor Rave Of The Year

EDM’s largest international gathering is fast approaching and all the biggest and best festivals, showcases and more are being revealed. Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) takes place in the heart of the Netherlands each October and with that, comes one of it’s most highly anticipated events; Amsterdam Music Festival (AMF). The annual event takes place on the Saturday of ADE week each year at Amsterdam’s Johan Cruijff Arena; and brings a stellar lineup to the mighty venue. On October 19, AMF will make history at the world’s biggest nightclub, where the world’s biggest electronic names will touch down and join the party.

AMF Festival Phase One Lineup

Recently announcing an all-star phase one lineup, AMF will welcome four of the hottest acts in electronic music; who will be accompanied by a number of popular acts, including an exclusive performance from DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJ Award winner.

Armin van Buuren

Returning to AMF to ‘own the night’ once more, the first of four massive names to be revealed is none other than Dutch icon Armin van Buuren. The undisputed king of trance and record-breaking DJ has topped the DJ Mag Top 100 poll more times than any other artist and rightfully claims the title as one of the most iconic DJ’s in history! Known for his euphoric sounds and relentless passion for music, the local hero is sure to put the entire Arena in A State of Trance.

Tiesto

Next up is what many refer to as the ‘godfather of EDM’. Fellow Dutch DJ and producer Tiesto will also headline this year’s edition of AMF. After dominating the house and trance worlds, the Grammy-award winner pioneered the crossover from electronic music into the mainstream; where he successfully resides today. His unmatched catalogue of chart-topping releases and renowned live performances make this DJ one you won’t want to miss.

Alesso

Following the announcement of two Dutch legends, the prince of progressive house Alesso is next to join the phase one lineup. Returning to the AMF stage for the first time since 2016, the Swedish DJ and producer is responsible for some of the biggest EDM hits of this generation. With more than 1 billion combined Spotify streams and the recent release of his widely acclaimed mixtape ‘PROGRESSO Volume 1’, Alesso is ready to take on the night with the Amsterdam crowd.

Jonas Blue

The final addition to the phase one AMF Festival lineup is English DJ, songwriter and producer Jonas Blue. The award-winning artist is responsible for some of the hottest anthems of last summer; including ‘Fast Car’, ‘Mama’ and ‘Perfect Strangers’. Quickly rising to a main stage sensation, the pop powerhouse will no doubt leave AMF 2019 with an unforgettable performance.

Crowning of the World’s No.1 DJ at AMF Festival

In addition to a world-class international lineup, AMF is also home to the crowning of the World’s No.1 DJ. As the annual DJ Mag Top 100 DJ poll wraps up for another year, the winner will be announced on the AMF main stage in front of a crowd of thousands; and broadcasted worldwide in front of millions. Following the crowning, the winner will then perform an exclusive set for the AMF crowd. With past winners including EDM greats such as Martin Garrix, Hardwell, David Guetta and many more, the electronic music world eagerly awaits to find out who will be crowned the 2019 winner.
