The festival is held annually over 4 days in Adelaide’s Botanic Park as part of the Adelaide Festival on the middle weekend in March.
WOMADelaide 2021 will be the 29th year of the event and will attract 20,000 people each day (not including children 12 and under who are admitted free) with over a third of attendees coming from outside South Australia and worldwide.
WOMADelaide is set to feature 500 artists from around 30 countries. Taking place in the stunning inner city Botanic Park, epic outdoor performances across 7 stages comprises including music, workshops and visual arts programs. Stay tuned for the full WOMADelaide 2019 line up schedule.
Other rad things to check out are the Planet Talks environmental discussions series along with the Taste the World food and cooking demonstrations that feature festival artists introducing audiences to the food and culture of their homelands.
There is KidZone area for children’s arts activities so bring along all the family. The Electrolounge will be being into the early hours as an electronic music club. Speakers’ Corner, and the Global Village will have over 100 international food, retail and charity stalls, bars as well as the Taste The World Restaurant.
