Virtual events and festivals are popping up everywhere at the moment. Technology enabled event organizers to reach a bigger audience. Sit back and relax, get a drink and watch the best events unfold, all while you are in your pajamas.

The World Surf League (WSL) has been live-streaming their World Championship Tour and World Qualifying Series for a while now and many music festivals release videos of their concerts after the event, snippets during the festival as well as pre and post gigs.

With everyone spending time at home and many physical events unfortunately canceled, event organizers and event planners developed new strategies to entertain their fan base. There are only so many episodes of Netflix you can watch right until the need to dance around in your living room arises.

Running events host Strava Challenges like the Marathon Strava Challenge. Music festivals stream live including Coachella and Snowbombing while the California Roots Festival broadcasts pre-recorded sessions. Big gatherings like Burning Man are also going fully virtual.
