Trans Madeira 2023: The Ultimate MTB Race in Madeira

Trans Madeira is an enduro mountain bike adventure that will get the best out of you. Five days of racing, 220km covered over 25 special stages, limited 140 riders. East to west and south to north, all four corners of Madeira in one unique event. You can expect to ride different kinds of terrains and explore unique singletracks in a bike camp adventure style race with no transition times.

Where to view Trans Madeira

The race takes place on the stunning Portuguese island of Madeira. Situated in the Atlantic Ocean, north of the Canary Islands and an hour and a half flight from Lisbon, Portugal.

How to get to Madeira

A number of airlines including TAP and Easyjet fly to Funchal, the capital of Madeira, where you will be met at the airport.

Where to stay in Madeira

Accommodation is provided by the race organizers for six nights. Five nights in a tent and one night in a 4-star hotel. If you stay longer be sure to check out the map below.

Things to do in Madeira

Madeira has so many adventure activities but you should include walking in the levada paths, visiting the top peaks on the island, going for a swim in Calheta and visiting the city center of Funchal.

Trans Madeira 2023 Dates

The next summer edition will take place from May 16-20, 2023. 

There will also be a second edition in Autumn on September 20-24, 2023.
