Summerfest isn’t your ordinary music festival. Since its inception in 1968, Summerfest has become a well-loved Milwaukee summer tradition, attended by locals and visitors from all over the United States and abroad. Summerfest takes place at the stunning grounds of the Henry Maier Festival Park by Lake Michigan in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Some stages will be located within the American Family Insurance Amphitheater.

The Milwaukee County Transit System provides visitors with simple and easy options for traveling to and from the festival venue. It’s ideal to get yourself an MCTS Card to make use of the bus service conveniently. Uber is Summerfest’s official rideshare provider; an Uber Zone within the venue will be provided for pickup and drop-offs.
Other public transport options include the Wisconsin Coach Lines, Racine & Kenosha Service, Ozaukee County Express, the GO Riteway Summerfest Shuttle which departs from Washington County, Badger Bus Madison Service, and Amtrak. Those driving to the venue can make use of the parking lots at the festival grounds, just purchase parking lot passes online.
