Summer Camp Music Festival 2024: The biggest event in the Midwest

Summer Camp Music Festival is an annual three-day live music event held over Memorial Day Weekend. Now in its 22nd year, the event welcomes more than 20,000 attendees and over 180 bands across ten stages. Expansive campgrounds, late-night shows, live art, great food and drink, workshops, yoga, carnival rides and much more, also make up the extraordinary event.

Summer Camp Music Festival 2024 Lineup

Having hosted a range of musical legends over the years, the event continues to boast a world-class lineup each year. This year, Festival will welcome thousands of campers for a jam-packed Memorial Day Weekend to remember.

Where is Summer Camp

Summer Camp Music Festival takes place at Three Sister’s Park in Chillicothe, Illinois. You can find the event at 17189 IL-29, Chillicothe, IL 61523, USA.

How to get around Chillicothe

In an effort to reduce traffic as well as carbon footprints, the Festival will offer a bus service to and from the festival from Chicago. Buses depart on Chicago Thursday at 1 pm and depart the festival at 10 am on Monday. Shuttle passes start at $42 for a one-way journey and $80 for a round trip.

Three Sisters Park is located on Route 29, just across from the Illinois River. RV parking passes are available and can be purchased separately for RV’s to enter the campground, however, cars are not permitted.

Where to stay in Chillicothe

As the name suggests, the obvious choice is to camp at the festival. All tickets include access to the campground with optional upgrades and add-ons available.

RV tickets must be purchased additionally and offer 25, 30 and 40ft RV camping spots. Nearby hotel options are also available for those who don’t want to camp.

The nearest hotels are Super 8 by Wyndham Chillicothe and Economy Inn, both located a 20-minute walk from the festival grounds. You can also find a number of rental options in and around the area on the map below.

Things to do at Summer Camp

In addition to the music, the festival also offers a range of activities. Campers have the opportunity to ‘Make a Difference’.

Make a Difference is a dedicated space for collective consciousness. Visitors can learn about the work of various non-profit organisations, as well as take part in activities such as the Make A Different Raffle, Live Art Galleries and Treasure Hunts. You can also find art shows and sales, vendors, kid-friendly activities, music workshops, games, challenges, food and more at Summer Camp Music Festival.
