Sea Hear Now Festival 2019: Music. Surf. Food. So Much More 

Sea Hear Now Festival is a celebration of live music, art and surf culture. Taking place in Asbury Park in New Jersey, USA, the two-day event. The festival features a range of popular musicians and artists, who will perform alongside a number of top surfers. The event also features delicious regional cuisine from the top restaurants from the boardwalk and beyond; as well as a transparent gallery and immersive art experiences.

Sea Hear Now Lineup 2019

This year’s edition of Sea Hear Now Festival will welcome more than 25 musicians and performers, who will perform alongside a talented bill of professional surfers across three stages. Dave Matthews Band and The Lumineers will headline the 2019 edition; sharing the stage with the likes of Dropkick Murphys, Dispatch, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, The B-52s and more. The lineup also features a range of impressive names in the surf category, including Balaram Stack, Sam Hammer, Brett Barley, Rob Kelly, Andrew Gesler and more. You can catch them at the surfing expression sessions between the stages.

How to get around Asbury Park

The nearest major airport is Newark Liberty International Airport, located just under an hour north of Asbury Park; in New York City. Car rental options are available throughout the airport, giving visitors an abundance of travel options to get to and from the event. A range of public ground transportation such as buses and trains are also available, operating directly between New York City and Asbury Park. Academy Buses operate every hour on the hour, with a travel time of around 95 minutes. The NJ transit authority also offers trains with around the same travel time. 

Sea Hear Now Festival is located just outside the city centre along the beach. The venue can be easily accessed by both car and public transport, however, walking is also recommended. You can also take bus routes 837 or 832 directly to and from the festival.

Things to do in Asbury Park

The waterfront city features a number of attractions. The Asbury Park Boardwalk is one of the city’s most visited sites and historical landmarks.

Nearby, you can also find the Asbury Splash Park; a beachside kids playground, and the Asbury Park Casino; a landmark casino and theatre complex. Other popular attractions include The Great Auditorium, the Stephen Crane House and the Paramount Theatre.
