Additionally, the festival hosts dozens of family-friendly activities for all to participate in. Art installations and flea market inspired stands promote social interaction and lifelong memories.

The JTMF takes place at the Joshua Tree Lake Campground in Joshua Tree, California. Enjoy the festival by day then take in all the Southern Californian sky has to offer at night inside the astonishing National Park.
The magical sweeping views will leave you speechless after a day filled with positive vibes and energy.
The venue is perfect for camping or RV parking for an all-out music festival experience. Two main stages and a world market are set up within the campground.
Additionally, the venue is accompanied by a one-acre oval lake area. Surrounding the water is the festival’s very own art installations and family-friendly workshops.
Things to do in Joshua Tree
Take a break from the musical vibes and enjoy JTMF’s endless list of activities. Entertainment for the younger attendees can be found at Kidsville while parents can relax at the Healing Oasis.
Take a stroll at the World Market for a global selection of foods, beverages and artisans. Lastly, make sure to get artsy at the live painting and auction where creative pieces are sold to the highest bidders.
Outside the festival, Joshua Tree offers amazing views of desert sunsets, unique wildlife and some of the oddest looking trees around. The National Park is a great place to camp and hike for an extended period of time.
Because of its prime location, don’t be afraid to venture to the surrounding big cities for even more fun and entertainment!
Where to stay in Joshua Tree
To get a true taste of the Joshua Tree Musical Festival, camping is a must. Space is on a first-come, first-serve basis and only RVs are allowed to make reservations.
Campgrounds fill up quickly so it’s best to get comfortable with your fellow neighbors! Hot shower stations and wood fires are conveniently placed around the campground. Find the best fit for your party’s camping style and you will be sure to have a blast.

How to get to Joshua Tree
Joshua Tree is a relatively remote area in Southern California considering its desert location. Your best bet for travel would be to rent a car or RV during the four day festival at a discounted rate.
Public transportation is not available to the actual campsite unless you wanted to pay an arm and leg for a taxi ride out to the desert.
However, Joshua Tree is located 50 minutes from Palm Springs, 2.5 hours from Los Angeles, 3 hours from San Diego and 3.5 hours from Las Vegas. Most event goers are from California but those visiting from elsewhere usually take a week-long trip to check out the rest of what So Cal has to offer.
