I Am Hardstyle 2019: Germany’s Biggest Indoor Hardstyle Event

Musical madness and Brennan Heart join forces to present I Am Hardstyle. 2019 will see the event return for a highly anticipated third edition, crowning it the largest indoor hardstyle event in the country. I Am Hardstyle has grown to become more than just a music festival, but a way of life. Bringing people together from across the globe, Dutch DJ Brennan Heart has united those who love the harder styles through this unique community. The theme for the 2019 edition is ‘show your true colours’ and will kick off in the festival’s hometown of Mannheim, Germany before travelling around Europe.

Following a successful run of shows in 2018, Mr I Am Hardstyle, Brennan Heart, presents a new concept with only the best names in the scene. Debuting the second instalment of their brand new live show ‘Ghost Stories’, D-Block & S-te-Fan will share the stage with crowd favourites Coone, Da Tweekaz, Sub Zero Project and more.

How to get around Mannheim

The city of Mannheim is located in the south west of Germany, between Frankfurt and Stuttgart. Travellers can fly into either Frankfurt or Stuttgart and travel to Mannheim via intercity trains or buses. Visitors can travel around the city by train, light rail or bus but walking is also recommended. 

Maimarkthalle is located ten minutes away from the city centre and can be easily accessed by public transport. The nearest train station is Mannheim Arena/Maimarkt which most train lines pass through. There are light rail and bus stops directly outside the venue and multiple parking lots surrounding the area. 

Where to stay for I Am Hardstyle 2019

Located just outside the city centre, many hotel and hostel options are available near the main train station. Affordable airbnb options are also available around the venue as well as throughout the city centre. Affordable nearby properties can be found below. 

As the event runs overnight, many visitors travel directly to and from the festival. Many unique and affordable accomodation options are available both in Frankfurt and Stuttgart. Lockers and bag storage is available in most major train stations in Germany. 

Things to do in Mannheim

There are many things to see and do in the city of Mannheim, from museums to natural wonders. Luisenpark is one of the city’s most popular landscaped parks and also home to the Fernmeldeturm tower. The 217.8 metre high concrete telecommunication tower features an observation deck for a panoramic view of the city. Mannheim Baroque Palace and Mannheimer Wasserturm are stunning and adored 18th century landmarks. Many museums and art galleries also appear throughout the city, ranging from historical displays to modern exhibits.
