Grape Festival 2019: Celebrating 10 Years

Grape Festival is an annual music festival that takes place in the town of Pezinok, Slovakia. Founded in 2010 as a small-sized festival, the event gets its name from its hometown of Pezinok, which is known for its tradition of wine production. The aim of the festival is to bring together a range of small local acts, among big-name talent to create a European level kind of festival. Now in its 10th year, the 2000 person strong festival has grown to welcome more than 20,000 visitors each year; and has even been listed in the top 10 small-sized European festivals.

This year’s edition of Grape Festival will welcome a wide range of local and international talent. Rudimental, The Cooks, Chvrches, Tove Lo, The Vaccines and Jon Hopkins will headline the two-day event. Other popular names include Andy C, Dub Fx, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Daniel Avery and more.

How to get around Piestany

The nearest major airport is Bratislava Airport; located approximately 50 minutes west of Piestany. Upon arrival, you can take a bus directly into the city centre, followed by a train to Piestany. The festival grounds are easily accessible by both car and public transport. Parking is available on site next to the main entrance of the festival area. A shuttle service is also available for those arriving by train. The shuttle will run in 30-minute intervals between the train station and festival entrance.

The campgrounds are fully equipped with sanitary facilities including showers and toilets, as well as food options and more. The town of Piestany offers a number of attractions and activities. One of the most popular attractions is Thermal Swimming Pool Eva, an outdoor bath with thermal pools, water slides and more.
