But it lacked one thing: a music festival worth writing home about. Until 2011, that is.
The launch of Governors Ball became one more bucket list-worthy reason to visit New York. What started out as a small one-day summer festival has grown in massive proportions through the years, and is now the state’s biggest music events spanning three days. Featuring over 60 of the best and brightest musicians of various genres playing across four stages, there will be something for everyone to dance to. You’ll have access to the city’s best eats as festival fare, with a carefully curated mix of food trucks and restaurants. In fact, if you have a limited amount of time in New York and want to sample the finest food, you’ll find them all at the festival! Governors Ball also offers an eclectic lineup of summer activities for festival goers: from interactive photo booths and ridiculously fun outdoor activities, there’ll be plenty of opportunity to get inspired or unwind in between concerts.
‘If you had to choose one music festival to attend this year, make it the Governors Ball.’
