Defected Croatia 2019: House and Disco on the Adriatic Coast

After three successful years, Defected Croatia returns to the picturesque corner of Croatia’s Adriatic coast. The annual music festival takes place at the Garden Resort in  Tisno, home to many popular summer festivals such as SunceBeat and Hospitality On The Beach. This year’s edition of Defected will welcome a wide range of musical talent. Armand van Helden, Claptone, Honey Dijon, MK, Eats Everything and Roger Sanchez will headline the 4th annual edition; sharing the stage with many notable names. Other popular acts include Derrick Carter,  Horse Meat Disco, Masters At Work, Nightmares on Wax, Purple Disco Machine and more.

How to get around Tisno

The nearest major airport is Zadar Airport, located approximately 45 minutes from Tisno. You can also fly into Split Airport, which is located approximately 90 minutes away and features significantly more flight options. Bus services and private transfers are readily available to transfer visitors to and from Tisno. Long distance bus services are also available from most major cities around Croatia and neighbouring countries. Upon arrival, the quickest and easiest way to get around is by bus or car. Car rental options are available throughout the airport and offer affordable and flexible transportation options. Both Zadar and Split feature central bus terminals with frequent buses travelling towards Tisno. Tickets can be purchased in advance or on the bus.

In Tisno, just about everything is within walking distance; however, metered taxis are also readily available throughout the town. There is also a 40 person Tisno Party  Train that runs on a loop between the festival entrance and the city centre. The train runs throughout the day and into the evening and is a fun and affordable way to get around.

Things to do in Tisno

The coastal town of Tisno features a range of things to see and do. You can find a number of stunning natural attractions, such as the countless number of beaches and public baths located along the coast.

Popular beaches include Iza Andrije Beach, Beach Lovišča and Slanica Beach. You can also find a number of rad islands nearby, including Kaprije; a popular island destination among tourists. Day trip and tour options are available to explore the beaches, vineyards, eateries and more.
