Beyond Wonderland 2019: Are you ready to travel Beyond?

California’s favourite two day event is back in 2019 for a massive 9th annual edition. Beyond Wonderland returns to Southern California’s NOS Events Center Friday, March 22 and Saturday, March 23. Festivalgoers will be ‘transported into a psychedelic realm where curious creatures, theatrical performers and dancers, and vibrant, neon lights illuminate the night sky’. Are you ready to return down the habit hole into this fantastical world?

This year’s edition will welcome back over 60 of the biggest dance music artists across four stages. Stages will be hosted by Basscon, Bassrush, Dreamstate, Insomniac Records and Mau5trap, featuring a range of talent across multiple sub genres. The star studded lineup features some of the biggest international names, including the king of trance Armin van Buuren. American festival favourites such as Seven Lions, Said The Sky and Rezz will blow the crowd away with their iconic tracks and remixes. Basscon favourites Darren Styles, DJ Isaac and Dr Phunk are amongst the many talented names representing the harder styles. Finally, for the first time, Deadmau5 will be representing his own mau5trap label, bringing his carefully curated lineup of talent to his very own stage. See the full lineup here.

Beyond Wonderland takes place at California’s favourite event venue; the National Orange Show (NOS) Event Center. (689 S E St, San Bernardino, CA 92408, USA).

How to get around San Bernardino 

The city of San Bernardino is located in Southern California, approximately an hour east from Los Angeles. The nearest major airport is Los Angeles International Airport; however, a number of smaller local airports are located around San Bernardino. 

Getting around the city is easy thanks to the San Bernardino County Public Transit system. Omnitrans buses run throughout the San Bernardino Valley and surrounding cities with many route options available. Lyft and Uber is also readily available throughout the city and can be ordered directly from your phone. 

The quickest and easiest way to get to and from the event is by car. Designated rideshare drop off and pick up points are located near the entrance of the venue. Parking is also available in and around the event centre. Premiere Parking allows visitors to park closes to the entrance and start at $30 per day. General parking is located adjacent to the venue and is free of charge. 

Official Insomniac hotel shuttles are also available, starting at $25 for a 1-day pass and $35 for a 2-day pass. Shuttle passes include return transport from the Insomniac Hotel Block, departing from the Best Western Ontario Airport. Over 12 official partner hotels are available and within walking distance of the shuttle stop.

Things to do in San Bernardino

There are a number of attractions to add to your San Bernardino trip this Spring. Silverwood Lake is a popular reservoir with a range of beaches, boat ramps and fishing areas. Glen Helen Regional Park is also a popular local park with over 1300 acres of greenery, play areas, lakes, race tracks and more. With an absolutely stacked lineup of the best local and international names, here are the must see artists to add to your Beyond Wonderland 2019 schedule. 

Armin van Buuren – The undeniable king of trance Armin van Buuren is returning to California for an epic performance. Fresh from a monumental celebration of 900 radio show episodes, the Dutch DJ is bringing his chart topping anthems back to the states; to put everyone in a state of trance. 

Darren Styles – The UK’s favourite happy hardcore artist Darren Styles will be representing the harder styles this Spring. His impressive discography of fast paced classic and new tracks will have you dancing all night long. 

Seven Lions – US favourite Seven Lions is returning to the Beyond Wonderland main stage. After an incredible performance in 2018, filled with everyone’s favourite tracks, the multi talented musician continues to pioneer the modern electronic music scene.

Support local vendors – A number of local vendors will be featured in the official vendor village. Support your local artists and explore a range of stunning ravewear, accessories, decor and more! Get a photo with Alice and the Queen – A range of characters will be roaming the grounds all weekend long. With a range of art installations complementing the wonderland theme, be sure to grab a photo with the Formal Foxes, Leopard Ladies and other eccentric characters. Catch a set at each stage – With four stages hosted by five different labels and brands, each stage transport you to a different magical world. The Queen’s Domain hosts the biggest and best names in the scene, in a musical realm fit for royalty. The Mad Hatters Castle features an awe-inspiring palace filled with the filthiest beats and drops. The Caterpillar’s Garden is one of two indoor stages, filled with the harder styles and mind blowing light shows.
