ARISE Music Festival: Leave No Trace in Loveland, Colorado

ARISE is so much more than merely a music festival. With inspiration from music, art, cookery, film, activism, yoga and more, ARISE brings together a diverse programme of events alongside fantastic conservation credentials.

Located in a mountain valley near Loveland, Colorado, the self-titled festival-wonderland is an independently-run event which not only focuses on an eclectic line-up to keep festivalgoers entertained, but also places a strong emphasis on their leave-no-trace ethos and global-cooling initiatives.

Starting before the event, ARISE plants one tree for every festival ticket purchased and even leads up to the festival with permaculture training and has an organic farmers’ market on-site throughout the event.

The musical line-up includes a concoction of folk, funk, rock, reggae and electronica, with legends coming from across the globe to perform at this wonderfully welcoming festival.

Alongside the musical talent are a whole host of other insightful, entertaining and interesting folk longing to get you involved. From live artists and healers to activists, guest speakers and children’s community leaders (not simply entertainers!) there is something for everyone!

‘Enjoy an epic sunrise over the ranch before dancing your heart out at one of the seven music stages or taking part in workshops and events in the dedicated ‘interactive villages.’

Where to view ARISE Music Festival

ARISE Music Festival is held at Sunrise Ranch in Loveland, Colorado (does a destination name come better than that?!).

Sunrise Ranch is a 350-acre organic farm in the mountainous valley region of Colorado. The rolling hills play host to an awesome festival which is broken up into different sections to offer something for everyone. Choose your favourite performers and flock to the relevant main stage or simply enjoy the events in the ‘interactive villages’ throughout the festival. These include the Children’s Village, Food Truck Village, Vending Village, Healers Village, Hemp Village, and a Wisdom Village.

How to get to ARISE Festival

Most will reach Sunrise Ranch by car and directions can be found here. Car-pooling is encouraged to both save festivalgoers money and to reduce the impact on the environment. For those coming from Denver, Boulder and Fort Collins, a bus service is available for just $5 round trip! ARISE also recommends coach services and offers more information about this on the FAQ section of the website.

For those not staying on-site at the festival (see below) a shuttle service is available as part of the VIP Travel Packages.

Where to stay ARISE Music Festival

The vast majority of festivalgoers camp at ARISE so they can be part of the action for the whole weekend without having to worry about getting to and from the site each day. There is a variety of camping available including general walk-in camping, glamping, site upgrades and dedicated female-only, family-friendly and sober campsites.

For those wishing a little more luxury you can opt for a VIP Travel Package which includes three nights in a Loveland hotel with a shuttle service to/from the festival each day.
