Afterhills is a music and arts festival that takes place in Lasi, Romania. The festival annually welcomes more than 75,000 people to celebrate music, food, and new experiences. This year’s edition will welcome a range of local and international talent across two weekends. Weekend one will be headlined by popular DJ’s Don Diablo, Quintino, Sam Feldt, and R3hab, as well as English singer and songwriter Rita Ora. Weekend two will be headlined by Faithless, Fedde Le Grand, Gareth Emery, GusGus, Morcheeba and Telepopmusik.

Located in the northeast region of Romania, Lasi is easily accessible by car as well as public transport. The nearest major airport is Lasi International Airport, located just outside the city center. You can take a taxi from the airport to the city for around 10 euros. Uber is also readily available throughout the city. You can also take bus route 50 from the airport to downtown Lasi. You can also take the train to Lasi from most nearby major cities, alighting at Lasi Station.
The easiest way to get to and from the festival is via shuttle. The festival shuttle departs from Union Square/Piata Unirii; located just two stops away on any bus or tram from Lasi Station. The festival shuttles run all day and night long between Lasi and Afterhills Festival.
Afterhills offers an official campground within walking distance to the festival grounds so visitors can access the stages quickly while still escaping the hustle and bustle of city life. The campground is fully equipped with wifi, charging points, illuminated alleys, sanitary facilities, lounge areas and more. The city of Lasi also offers a wide variety of accommodation options including hotels, hostels, and Airbnbs.

The Romanian city of Lasi offers a variety of things to see and do. One of the most popular attractions is the Palace of Culture, a 19th-century Neogothic landmark featuring a 365 room complex, as well as four museums. Nearby, you can also find the Metropolitan Cathedral Lasi, a neoclassical orthodox church known for its towers and mosaics. In the heart of the city, you can also find the Vasile Alecsandri National Theatre, the oldest national theatre and one of the most prestigious in the country.
The city also features a range of popular outdoor areas, such as Coupou Park; a public garden featuring Romania’s oldest monument ‘Obelisk’, as well as a 500-year-old tree. Another popular garden is the Lasi Botanical Garden, a 19th-century garden with walking trails, seasonal floral shows, a duck pond and more.
Afterhills will take place from August 23-25 and August 30 – September 1, 2019.
