Let’s face it, there are few places as awesome as Austria when it comes to skiing getaways. If you’re thinking about taking in the fresh alpine air, and living it up at some of the greatest high-altitude parties around, check out our must-see list of upcoming snow events in Austria.
Snowbombing is probably the best time you can have when you think high-altitude and music festival. Some of the best electronic, urban and pop artists of the year will be lining up to provide you with some excellent music.
The stages can often be found on some very imaginative settings too, like the pistes of the Mayrhofen ski resort, and some other spots besides, which means that if you’re keen to get some of the best high-altitude entertainment around, Snowbomb should be your first stop. The 2017 gig has already come and gone, but bookings are already open for next year’s event.
If you feel that the average snow festival is way too electronic for your tastes, we’ve got some great news. BERGFESTival is solely focused on providing rock fanatics with the best rock experience that can be found in the alps. The event takes place between 8-10 December, and the lineup is yet to be finalised, but if you’re interested, check out the festival info on our website.
Who doesn’t love a laugh when they’re up high? If you’re looking for a rather unique experience while still being able to enjoy your dose of alpine awesomeness, you should check out the Altitude Comedy Festival. The festival has been going strong for twelve years now, which means it is pretty much on its way to becoming an alpine must-do.
If you’re still keen on getting some time on the slopes you’ll be happy to know that the Zillertal Tourist Board has pretty much guaranteed snow during the festival, and better yet your Altitude Festival wristbands gives you access to the Hintertux glacier, which has a recorded 99.9% chance of snow every December, which means coming to the festival gives you a 100% chance of having an excellent time.
