Group Therapy 350: Group Therapy on a Grand Scale

Celebrating 350 episodes of the iconic radio show, English trance group Above & Beyond are hosting their annual group therapy event in the Czech Republic this October. Taking place on October 11, the trio will return to the heart of Prague and bring the very best of their Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep record labels for a once in a lifetime celebration. Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy (ABGT) celebrations annually draw fans from over 50 countries to a different unique location for a musical journey of a lifetime. This year’s edition will welcome thousands of dedicated trance fans to one of Europe’s favourite concert venues.

The annual celebration, hosted by Group Therapy founders Above & Beyond, welcomes a number of Anjunadeep artists. Previous editions have featured the likes of Andrew Bayer, Ben Bohmer, Ilan Bluestone, Spencer Brown, Grum and more.

How to get around Prague

Travelling to and around Prague is easy and affordable. The nearest major airport is Václav Havel Airport Prague, located approximately 18km west of Prague’s city centre. You can travel between the airport and the city via buses, taxis or private transport. Bus Routes 119, 100 and 179 operate between the airport and various stations in the city. The Airport Express bus also runs between the airport and Prague’s main train station and takes around 35 minutes. 

There are a range of options to get around Prague quickly and easily. The city of Prague is home to one of the best public transport systems in Europe, with the metro, trams and buses used by more than two-thirds of the population. The metro is one of the most popular and fastest modes of transport, featuring over 50 stations across three lines. Trams are also one of the most frequently used modes of transport, with over 500km of tracks covering a large area of the city. Tickets start at 24 CZK (approximately $1) for a 30-minute ticket and can be used on any type of public transport within the time period. Tickets are available for 30 minutes, 90 minutes, 24 hours and 72 hours. Long term tickets are also available for 30, 90, 150 and 365 days.

Visitors can also purchase the Prague Card, which provides unlimited access to public transport, a free transfer from the airport, free entry to many museums and monuments and discounts on a range of tours and shows. The Prague Card is available for 2, 3 and 4 days. 

The easiest way to travel to the event is via metro. The nearest metro station is Ceskomoravska Station, which can be reached directly from the city centre. Visitors can also travel to the venue via tram numbers 8 and 25, stopping at Multiarena Praha. Buses 151, 152 and 375 also travel to Ceskomoravska.

Things to do in Prague

There are a range of things to see and do in Prague. The city features a number of historical attractions, as well as national treasures, scenic views, dining options, tours and more. Prague’s Old Town is home to a number of popular attractions such as the Old Town Hall, the Church of Our Lady Before Ten and the Prague Astronomical Clock.

The Vltava river passes through the city centre of Prague and can be crossed by a number of bridges, including Charles Bridge; the famous 15th-century arch bridge. Across the river, you can find a number of parks castles and historical buildings, including the Prague Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace and the Wallenstein Palace.
