We Out Here Festival 2019 Abbots Ripton, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, PE28 2PH Abbots Ripton Cambridgeshire UKWe Out Here is a brand new festival that will take place in Abbots Ripton in the UK. The project was created by Gilles Peterson, Worldwide FM and Brownswood Recordings and brings their brand and music to the countryside for the weekend. The event expects to showcase a lineup featuring a wide range of musical genres. Taking place across four days, the festival features a combination of live performances and DJ sets.

Featuring a lineup ranging from soul to jazz, funk, R&B, hip hop, Afrobeat, disco, electronic and more, the festival will feature something for everyone. The very first edition of We Out Here will be headlined by Gary Bartz, The Comet Is Coming, Tirzah, Sons of Kemet, Lee Fields & The Expressions, Gilles Peterson, Joey Rebelle, Kojey Radical and Nubya Garcia. Other popular acts include Kokoroko, Steam Down, Skinny Pelembe, Channel One, Mr Scruff and many more.
We Out Here Festival will take place at the old Secret Garden Party site in Abbots Ripton. You can find the event at Abbots Ripton, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, PE28 2PH.
The festival is easily accessible by both car and public transport. Located in Cambridgeshire, just north of London, the nearest major airports are London Stansted Airport and London City Airport. If you are driving to the event, you can take the A14 towards Huntingdon Industrial Estate and follow the road, continuing straight until the fourth roundabout where you can make a left towards Kings Ripton.
Parking is available on site and parking passes must be purchased in advance. You can also travel to the festival via bus or train. Round-trip coach transfers are available to reserve through the festival and operate from London, Bristol, Nottingham, Norwich and Manchester.
You can also travel by train, alighting at Huntingdon station. Upon arrival, regular shuttle buses will be running between the train station and the festival site. Shuttles will operate between midday and 10 pm on Thursday and Friday and 9am-1pm on Monday.
All festival tickets include access to the standard camping and family camping campsites. You can bring your own tent and camping gear or reserve a pre-setup tent package. Boutique camping options include Bedouin Tents for 2-4 people, Luxury Yurts for 2-4 people, Bell Tents for 2-4 People, Ridge Tents for up to 8 people, Lux Pads for up to two people and Octo Pads for up to four people.
You can also reserve a regular pre-pitched tent from 60 pounds or a live in vehicle form 75 pounds. There are also a number of hotel and Airbnb options located within the vicinity of the festival. The nearest hotel is The Abbot’s Elm, which is located within walking distance of the event. Other nearby options include Winnington Lodge Bed and Breakfast, Elephant & Castle Motel and The Stables Kings Ripton. You can explore all the nearby accommodation options below.
The village of Abbots Ripton features a number of things to see and do. One of the most popular attractions is the National Trust – Houghton Mill; a fully restored 18th-century water mill with a pond. Another popular attraction is Hinchingbrooke Country Park, a park with woods, lakes and fields; home to a variety of birds and wildlife.
Nearby you can also find Lady’s wood, a 7.1-hectare nature reserve; and Upwood Meadows, a 6-hectare nature reserve and biological site.
We Out Here will take place from August 15-19, 2019.
