A gritty and glorious gravel adventure open to riders from all over the world, RPI invites contestants to pedal with purpose in support of the Be Good™ Foundation, which uses the bicycle as a catalyst for healing, empowerment, and evolution. Participating in RPI is not only a thrilling challenge for riders of all levels, but it’s also a chance to connect with the local community and celebrate people, purpose, and place!
There is more than one way to join in on the fun! If you’re looking to make the trek to Sun Valley, there are four races, including the three-day Queen’s Stage Race as well as the one-day Baked Potato (102 miles), French Fry (56 miles), and Tater Tot (20 miles) courses. After the race, look forward to the finishing party with live music, local food and other vendors, games, and more!
Can’t make it in person? Participate from anywhere in the world through RPI Remote.
If you’re not wanting to fly with your bike, allow some of the local shops to take care of it! Through RPI, you are able to have your bike shipped and built to be ready for you upon arrival.
Get in contact with RPI partners: Bike Flights, Sturtevants, and Idaho Cycles to ship your bike and have it race-ready when you get into town.
Make sure to register for RPI ASAP! Spots are limited and filling up fast. With distances ranging from 20 miles to over 100 miles, and multiple categories, including non-binary, LGBTQ+, para-cycling and even tandem, there is a race for everyone at RPI!
RPI Sun Valley takes place from August 29 – September 1, 2024. Beginning with a rider welcome expo and ending with the awards ceremony, riders are in for a thrilling few days.
Reserve your tickets for the Be Good Foundation Party supporting the Be Good Foundation! Kick off the RPI experience with this fundraising event including drinks, food, music, and an opportunity to brush elbows with Rebecca Rusch and other notable athletes!
As you will spend most of your time in Ketchum and Hailey, the best options of arrival are through Hailey’s airport (SUN), or, if you’re looking for more flights, Boise International (BOI), which is a 2.5 hour drive to Ketchum with both shuttle and rental car options.
Through RPI, there are several discounts to take advantage of in local accommodations including the Limelight Hotel, Alpine Lodging, Hotel Ketchum, and Tamarack Lodge. There are otherwise many options in nearby hotels to settle in.
While regular campgrounds will be full due to the holiday weekend, there is dispersed camping off most roads.
Remember not to wait too long, as accommodations can very quickly fill up—this is a big event!

Sun Valley has a huge array of restaurants to meet the needs of every last taste bud. Morning, noon, and night, the dining scene in this small mountain town includes popular options from coffee shops to locally owned restaurants, including GLOW for plant-based lunch options, Lizzy’s Fresh Coffee for a caffeine fix, and the Grumpy’s for a greasy burger and cold beer.
Tips: remember to make reservations and check the establishments’ hours of operations before heading to the restaurant!
