Gather Outdoors is a music festival that takes place in Monticello, New York during Memorial Day Weekend. Featuring three stages, Gather Outdoors will showcase sounds from the most innovative artists in the industry. This year’s edition of Gather Outdoors will welcome a number of local and international headlining acts. Mr. G, Jamie xx, James Murphy and Amelie Lens are among the headlining acts who will perform across the two-day event. How to get around Monticello

Located just under two hours north of New York City, there are a number of ways to get to and around Monticello. A number of regional airports can be found near the town; however, the nearest major airports are located in New York City. Nearby major airports include Newark Liberty Airport, New York Stewart International Airport and LaGuardia Airport. Car rental options are available throughout the airports. Renting a car is the quickest and easiest way to travel to and around the town. You can also travel to Monticello by regional bus services such as Greyhound.

You can travel to the festival by both car and public transport. A Shortline bus terminal can be found approximately six miles from Holiday Mountain for visitors travelling by coach. A number of shuttles will be operating throughout the event from the bus terminal. The nearest train station is Port Jervis, located approximately 26 miles from Holiday Mountain. Taxis and rideshare options are readily available throughout Monticello to transfer visitors to Holiday Mountain.

Where to stay for Gather Outdoors

Gather Outdoors offers a number of accommodation options. Camping is available at the festival, offering guests the ultimate Gather experience. Several camping areas are available throughout the property and feature fully equipped campsites. Facilities include showers, hot water, toilets, sinks, free tap water and charging stations. Situated among the trees, visitors can also hang hammocks to create their own special area.

Visitors staying in the general camping area must bring their own tent and camping supplies. A more high-end ‘glamping’ option is also available, offering guests a pre-setup tent with a queen or twin sized beds and a range of luxuries. The festival also offers RV rentals for those wanting the most luxurious on-site experience possible. The high-end luxury motor homes are fully equipped and can sleep up to seven people. All campers also have exclusive access to the pre-gather opening ceremony.

A number of nearby hotels and Airbnbs are also available for visitors who do not wish to camp. Popular nearby hotels include The Kartrite Resort & Indoor Casino, Super 8 by Wyndham Monticello, Alder at The Resorts World Casino and Best Western Monticello. Things to do in Monticello

The small town of Monticello offers a number of things to do. Home to Gather Outdoors Festival, the Holiday Mountain Ski & Fun Park is a popular year-round destination. The park offers skiing, snowboarding and tubing throughout the winter, and go-karting, mini-golf and rock climbing in the summer.

Nearby, you can find the Resorts World Catskills, a popular hotel resort and casino. There are also a number of parks and outdoor areas located throughout Monticello. Popular parks include the Town of Thompson Park, De Hoyos Memorial Park and Lake Superior.
