The Beer Lovers Marathon actually took inspiration for Marathon du Medoc, which happens in the Paulliac region of France. The first-ever Beer Lovers Marathon took off in 2016.
The exciting race takes place every year in the city of Liege in Belgium. The race is limited to a maximum time of 6 hours 30 minutes.
You will be facilitated with water and food supply every 5 km along with the opportunity to discover and taste 16 different Belgian beers. Experience the best of the local food specialties besides the conventional water and energy supply. At each pit stop, you can witness the musical animation (DJs, fanfare, and percussionists) to accompany the marathon runners for an exquisite atmosphere and lifetime experience.
The runners can discover the extraordinary places of Liege (Prince-bishop palace and opera) and also run up the famous Buren Mountain, which is considered as the most extreme stairs of the world. Witness the UNESCO world heritage and “Outre-Meuse” which is the birthplace of Tchanches.

Any of those tickets can be purchased from the bus driver before hopping into the bus. You can also opt for the monthly ticket that cost around €15.

The next edition of the Beer Lovers’ Marathon takes place from May 11-12, 2024.
The Marathon Village opens at 2pm on Saturday, May 20. Fill up on pasta and get ready for the run on Sunday, May 12 at 9.30am for the official race start.
