Matt Rode

Matt Rode has been traveling nearly full-time for the past 15 years, basing himself in half a dozen countries and visiting over 60. As an adventure/travel journalist and athlete, he has trekked the Andes, free dived Micronesia, camped in millennia-old Cambodian temples, solo-backcountry snowboarded chest-deep powder, broken a dozen bones mountain biking and boarding, completed an Ironman-distance triathlon, surfed all over the world, and featured on the cover of multiple magazines. He contributes to most of the world’s leading surf publications, and serves as senior writer for Magicseaweed.com, the world’s second largest surf website. When not searching out and chronicling adventures, Matt can be found practicing yoga, visiting family, and writing and editing for hundreds of publishers, authors, businesspeople, and blogs.
