New Healing Festival 2019: Music + Art + Inspiration

New Healing Festival is an annual music and arts festival that takes place in Preddohl, Germany. The week-long event promises a family festival experience at a unique open-air venue between Hamburg and Berlin. From Monday to Friday, the ‘healing days’ feature a multi-faceted program with concerts, lectures, workshops and more. From Friday to Sunday, the ‘healing weekend’ closes out the party with DJs, live acts, musical performances and more.

Taking place in the ‘celebration area’, the musical concept will be centred around ‘Electronic Music Meets Natural Vibrations’. The festival will present a variety of ambient, chill-out, goa, trance and handmade music throughout the weekend. This year’s lineup will feature the likes of Antionmy, Onero, Audiotec, Rikam, Psy Agency, Dynamic Range, LX-D and many more.

How to get around Preddohl

Located between Berlin and Hamburg, there are a variety of ways to get to and from the festival. There are a number of nearby airports; the closest being Parchim International Airport. Larger nearby airports include Berlin Tegel Airport, Berlin Schönefeld Airport, Hannover Airport and Hamburg Airport. Upon arrival, intercity trains connect nearby major cities to Preddohl. You can also travel directly to and from the festival by bus.

The festival offers round-trip bus transportation from Berlin and Hamburg. Buses are available for the healing week or the healing weekend events, departing at 2 pm on the 13th and the 17th from Berlin and Hamburg. Return trips depart on the 17th of August at 5 pm and the 20th of August from 11 am. 

Where to stay for New Healing Festival

New Healing Fest offers an official campground, with access included in your festival ticket. There is also the option to purchase a camping only ticket, which gives you access exclusively to the campgrounds without participation in the program. For an extra 5 euros, you can also reserve an area in the family campground. For an extra 30 euros, you can secure a spot in the ‘Silentcamp’.

Things to do in Preddohl

The town of Preddohl is located in the German region of Brandenburg, which offers a variety of things to see and do. Here, you can find the Sanssouci Palace and Gardens, a popular attraction featuring more than 600 acres of parklands, monuments, temples, statues and more. Another popular outdoor attraction is the Spreewald Forest, an idyllic landscape with a range of waterways, rivers, pastures and more.

For a more historical and informative attraction, be sure to check out the Babelsberg Studios, the region’s equivalent to Universal Studios. You can explore the history of Germany television as well as catch some behind the scenes action of a number of popular German TV shows.
