Ghetto Games Festival 2024 Ventspils, Latvia Ventspils LatviaThe Ghetto Games Festival 2024 is the 11th year they will be bringing together action sports athletes from all over the world. In July the Ghetto Games Festival international street culture and sports festival will take place in Ventspils, Latvia.
The Ghetto Games festival otherwise known as GGFEST is a youth culture and action sports event in Ventspils hosting the best action sports athletes in the business. This year the event will have 1500 participants from 17 sports and 25 different countries. Europe’s best riders will be joined by athletes from across the US, Australia and Canada.
The best new talent and living legends of each noted action sport, as well as thousands of spectators will witness the competitions unfold and watch the athletes push the bar to it’s limits. GGFEST is a celebration of action sports during which the world’s best athletes meet the local talent and fans, whose dream is to become as good at what they do as their idols.
Action sports taking place at GGFEST include skateboarding, wakeboarding, BMX freestyle, inline skating, streetbike freestyle. In addition, there will be international tournaments of street basketball, street floorball, street football along with competitions of street dance, stand up paddle boarding and the „Baltic Open” Street Workout Championship and the FIBA 3×3 Challenger Tournament.

The Livonian Order Castle is one of the oldest medieval fortresses that has survived to this day. In 1290 the castle was first chronicled and this date is now considered to be the year of Ventspils’ foundation.

Now GGFEST is that much more than a youth culture and action sports festival. Since 2018 they are officially the first Open Championship of Alternative and Extreme sports in Latvia.
