Slam Dunk Festival: A Rite of Passage for Punk Rock Lovers

The UK’s biggest independent rock festival is returning to Hatfield this bank holiday weekend. Originating in 2006, Slam Dunk Festival has since become a rite of passage for punk rock music lovers; featuring all the biggest and best names in the scene. Taking place in both the North (Leeds) and the South (Hatfield), the annual multi-stage event has earned its place as one of the key events in the summer festival calendar.

More than 60 artists will perform across eight stages at the award-winning festival; with both indoor and outdoor stages set to provide the ultimate experience with minimal clashes. The two outdoor stages, Jägermeister and Impericon, will see no clashes, ensuring that hardcore and metalcore fans will be able to catch the best of both stage line-ups. The remaining stages have also scheduled spread out performances so fans can explore all the stages without missing a second of the action.

This year’s edition of Slam Dunk Festival will also welcome the best of punk, rock, metal and more; making up the biggest and heaviest lineup in the festival’s history. The absolutely stacked lineup will welcome back a number of crowd favourites, as well as local and up-and-coming talent and a number of bands who will make their Slam Dunk debut. Headlining the 14th annual edition of Slam Dunk Festival will be All Time Low, alongside NOFX, New Found Glory, Bad Religion, Glassjaw, Lagwagon and more.

Recently announcing their debut performance at Slam Dunk Festival, Welsh heavy metal band Bullet For My Valentine are among ten bands who will perform at the festival for the first time. 2019 will also welcome Glassjaw, Simple Plan, The Menzingers, Turnstile, Knocked Loose, The Get Up Kids, Saves The Day, Tiny Moving Parts and IDKHOW to the Slam Dunk Stages for the very first time.

The Festival is also giving visitors the opportunity to meet their favourite artists with two exclusive signing tents. You can head over to the signing tent at the Main Arena for the exclusive Amazon signing sessions with WSTR, Simple Plan, Anti-Flag, The Interrupters and All Time Low. Signings are limited to the first 200 people/45 minutes so get in quick! Kerrang! Radio and Monster Energy will also be hosting an exclusive signing session with Our Hollow Our Home, Bullet For My Valentine, Cancer Bats, Neck Deep, New Found Glory, As It Is and Waterparks. Times are strict so make sure to arrive early!
