The countdown is on: Mountain Bike De Femme is back 4 – 6 March

Grab your girl gang and head for Victoria’s High Country.

After a two-year hiatus out in the covid cold, Australia’s biggest mountain-biking female social event – MTB de Femme – is back at Falls Creek next weekend 4-6 March 2022.

MTB de femme is all about getting out on the bike with like-minded women, having a laugh, learning new skills, building confidence, taking on new challenges and shredding Falls Creek’s fun-packed trails through spectacular alpine scenery in a friendly and safe environment.

“If you’ve had the pants scared off you riding an old bike on hectic trails, MTB de Femme is all about changing that,” laughs event organiser Jo Prothero. “As we emerge from the pandemic and travel opens up, there will be a focus this year on wellbeing, overcoming challenges and the joy of where a bike can take you.”

Participants can choose from guided social rides – beginner to advanced. Shuttles, coaching, skills clinics, a bike-maintenance workshop and a longer picnic ride is on offer too. “Sign up for a full day or the entire weekend. There is something for everyone – even champagne,” Jo says.

“The event is a great way to connect with other female riders and feel supported in their MTB journey” says Marvi Joyce from Sydney, who attended the last MTB de Femme in 2019 (pre-pandemic).

The 45-year-old intermediate rider says groups broken up into abilities and participants can comfortably ride at their own pace and level, which is why the event is especially good for beginners. But more importantly, “everyone is eager to ride and just have a great time.”

Get tickets from $15 to $300 per person here. More details on the event Facebook page or contact Jo directly on Mob: 0449 293 008 Email: jo@allridemtb.com.au
