Episode 19: Podcast with Matt Musgrove the Californian pushing the sport of Motoclimb through his company Elevated Action Sports

In this episode Oli Russell-Cowan chats to action sports and motoclimb events promoter Matt Musgrove. Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, Matt Musgrove always had a fascination with action sports, motorcycles and the outdoors. Matt graduated from Business School and decided to launch straight into building his own company Elevated Action Sports.

Wearing many hats from managing partnerships, running and promoting live motor racing events to filming and photographing athletes. Not to mention growing one of the world’s oldest extreme motorsports. The sport of motoclimb, (motorcycle hill climb racing) has not been recognized on a global scale, and it’s Matt’s mission to help get the sport and it’s athletes on a mainstream level.

Matt calls his race trailer home and spends the majority of the season on the road documenting the insane sport of motoclimb. In his spare time, you can find him crafting custom bike frames, surfing, dirt biking, mountain biking and snowboarding somewhere epic in California.

Tune in for some of Matt’s best motoclimb stories and his craziest event moments.

Oli Russell-Cowan

The concept for Rad Season came about when I was trekking around Latin America. I found it difficult to find cool events and festivals going on that were a bit different and had an element of adventure and general radness to them. I knew that there was always something rad worth going to somewhere in the world, but there was no single platform bringing them together for like-minded people. With over 15 years experience in international business development, spanning multiple industries including action sports, events, media, digital, ICT, travel and tourism, I decided to combine them all with Rad Season.
