Ypsigrock Festival is Italy’s hidden festival gem. Located in the heart of Sicily in the lower region of Italy, the four-day event showcases a truly unique and irresistible experience. Where to view Ypsigrock 2019

Ypsigrock Festival takes place in the Sicilian town of Castelbuono, in Southern Italy. You can find the event at Piazza Castello, 90013 Castelbuono.

How to get around Sicily

The nearest main Airport is ‘Punta Raisi – Falcone Borsellino Airport – Palermo’. Regular shuttle buses are available, transferring visitors between the airport and Palermo city centre. Next to Palermo central railway station, you can find the bus station, where coaches operated by S.A.I.S depart towards Castelbuono.

You can also take the train, arriving at Cefalù Station, located 20km from Castelbuono; where coaches are available to travel directly to Castelbuono. It is not recommended to take the train directly to Castelbuono as it is extremely difficult to get to the city centre upon arrival without a car. The festival also offers one-way pre and post-concert shuttles, travelling from Castelbuono to Cefalù for 5 euros and Palermo for 8 euros each night. Round trip and three-day passes are also available to purchase.

Castelbuono is also easily accessible by car from the three main cities Palermo, Messina and Catania.

Where to stay for Ypsigrock 2019

Ypsigrock Festival offers a number of accommodation options. ‘Ypsicamping’ is located inside the Madonie Park, surrounded by a stunning pine forest. The scenic camping area is fully equipped and located just outside the town piazza. Camping passes can be purchased through the festival in addition to a regular admission ticket and allow access for each person into the campground. Camping shuttles are also available to purchase for 10 euros, transporting visitors between the campsite and Castelbuono. Things to do in Sicily

The island of Sicily offers countless things to see and do. Located just over an hour west of Castelbuono, the Sicilian capital of Palermo features countless historical attractions and scenic destinations. Popular attractions include Norman Palace, a grand 9th-century palace and museum; Cattedrale di Palermo, a historical 12th-century cathedral; and Cattedrale di Monreale, a vibrant Catholic church dating back to the 1100s.

Nearby, you can also find the coastal city of Mondello; home to bustling sandy beaches with picturesque views and colourful beach huts. South of Castelbuono, you can find the Valley of the Temples, an ancient archaeological site and museum showcasing ancient temples, ruins and more. Just off the coast, you can also find Aeolian Archipelago, a volcanic island chain made up of eight islands.
