Bringing the world’s best action sports to people all over the world, X Games has announced a brand event in 2019. With events held in Aspen, Minneapolis and even Norway, China is the newest addition to the X Games international bill. X Games China will also feature musical performances, art installations and a festival experience.
For the first time in X Games’ international history, the event will stage both summer and winter events in the same country. China will be the first country to host both events in 2019, with the summer event kicking off in June and the winter event expected in late November to early December.
“X Games China will have a distinctly Chinese flavour, showcasing the beautiful country, cities and culture of China in everything from the course designs to the medals”
X Games Shanghai will showcase a number of summer sport disciplines at the upcoming event in June. Winter sports disciplines will be announced later in the year. The inaugural X Games Shanghai will feature Big Air and Street Skateboarding and BMX events and Best Trick Moto X Events across the two-day event. World-class athletes from Australia, USA, Brazil, Japan, Canada and more will showcase more than 10 hours of competition.
