WiSH Outdoor Festival 2019: A Weekend of Adventure Awaits

Celebrating its 13^thedition in 2019, WiSH Outdoor is returning to Beek En Donk in the Netherlands this summer. The annual three-day event regularly hosts over 100 artists across nine different stages, ranging from the harder styles to house, R&B and even party acts! The festival has grown to become one of the best-decorated festivals in the country, and is a favourite among locals and visitors alike.

Each year, WiSH Outdoor welcomes over 100 talented artists from multiple genres across the electronic music scene to the three-day event. What makes this festival stand out from the rest is that the lineup is made up of primarily (if not all) Dutch artists. This year’s lineup features a range of popular DJ’s ranging from the harder styles to house, techno, pop and more. As this is a Dutch event, it’s only fitting that the main and biggest stage is made up of nothing but the best of the harder styles. This year, the main stage will welcome the likes of Brennan Heart, Da Tweekaz, D-Block & S-te-Fan, Frequencerz, Phuture Noize and more. The three-day event will also see popular house DJ duo Lucas & Steve return, alongside other well-known names such as Cascada and Kris Kross Amsterdam.

WiSH Outdoor Festival takes place at the Festival site ‘de Aa’ in Lekerstraat, Beek en Donk in North Brabant. You can find the festival at Bosscheweg 26a, 5741 SX Beek en Donk, Netherlands.

How to get around Beek En Donk

The nearest airport is Eindhoven Airport, located approximately 25 minutes from the festival site. Many major airlines, as well as most budget airlines, operate throughout this airport, making it easy and affordable to travel to the event.

There are a number of ways to travel to and from WiSH Outdoor. Bus services operate throughout all of the Netherlands as well as Germany and other neighbouring countries and offer travel packages with festival tickets, bus transfers and camping options. Visitors travelling to the festival via public transport can do so via train and bus. The nearest train stations are ‘Helmond’ and ‘Eindhoven’ station, while the nearest bus stop is ‘Brug Donk’; located approximately a 10-minute walk from the festival grounds. Festival shuttle buses also run from both Helmond and Eindhoven train station on the Saturday and Sunday, and tickets can be purchased online in advance.

If you are driving to the event, navigate to ‘Broekweg’ in ‘Beek en Donk’; and follow the traffic signs to the designated parking area. Parking is located just a short walk from the festival entrance and passes can be purchased on arrival (cash only). Electric cars should be sufficiently charged, as there will be no charging stations available at the car park. Visitors can also travel to and from the event in true Dutch style; by bicycle. You can find thousands of bike racks readily available just outside the entrance of the festival.

WiSH Outdoor Festival includes an on site camping option for all visitors. ‘Camp WOW’ is the ultimate location to spend your nights during WiSH Outdoor Festival. Located directly next to the festival, with an exclusive festival entrance, the campsite is equipped with everything you could need for a legendary weekend. Camp WOW offers a spacious campground; with refreshing bar and lounge areas, 24-hour food areas, free showers and toilets, cell phone charging, lockers and more. Visitors can bring their own camping supplies or show up at the campgrounds and purchase everything at the camping store.

You can also purchase special accommodation options and packages in advance for a smooth camping experience. ‘Wolfpack’ packages are available for 4-8 people, 9-16 people and 16 people and more, and offer groups their own premium campsite spot with extra space, as well as other luxuries such as your own power outlet and a folding table. Visitors can also purchase the ‘FestiTent’ package, which offers a pre-pitched tent for an easy and relaxing start to the weekend. ‘FestiHut’ options featuring your very own cabin for 4-6 people are also available.

If you’re not into camping, a number of Airbnb options are available nearby and can be found within walking distance of the festival. The nearest major city is Eindhoven, located approximately 25 minutes south west of the festival site. A range of hotels, hostels and Airbnbs can also be found throughout the city; with festival shuttles available to travel between the city centre and the event.

Things to do at WiSH Outdoor Festival

Aside from the wide range of talent, WiSH Outdoor also offers a number of activities, vendors and more. The festival hosts over 25 different local food vendors, ranging from typical Dutch cuisine to international dishes. The festival grounds are also filled with activities and attractions; including a Ferris wheel that offers a panoramic view of the entire festival. Throughout the weekend, visitors can take part in various free activities such as mini-golf and XXL beer pong.

For those camping or visiting Camp WOW, the campgrounds also offer a range of fun things to do. Visitors can relax in the ‘Lovely Lounge’ filled with hammocks and beanbags, and of course the perfect beats in the background. WiSH radio also broadcasts music live from the festival grounds throughout the campground. Camp WOW is also home to the official silent disco after parties, which take place each night and are exclusive to Camp WOW visitors.

This year’s lineup offers a range of well known DJ’s and artists across a range of genres. Here are three artists you absolutely cannot miss at WiSH Outdoor 2019.

D-Block & S-te-Fan – After the recent launch of their brand new live show ‘Ghost Stories’ D-Block & S-te-Fan are headed to WiSH Outdoor for an exclusive performance. Featuring a brand new concept and live vocals, you can only catch the Ghost Stories show at a select few events throughout the year. Make sure to catch it while you can!

Da Tweekaz – Norwegian duo Da Tweekaz are ones to watch this festival season. The energetic pair are known for their lively sets filled with everything from songs about tequila to Disney sing-alongs and everything in between. In the lead up to their Tomorrowland main stage debut later this year, these guys are pumping out banger after banger; and their sets are something you simply have to experience.

Phuture Noize – Dutch DJ Phuture Noize has grown rapidly in the hardstyle world over the last year. His latest album ‘Black Mirror Society’ has become one of the most popular releases in the scene; and has even lead the artist to have the honour of creating this year’s Defqon.1 anthem.
