We Are Electric Festival 2019: Ready? Set… Go!

We Are Electric Festival is back this summer with a massive camping make-over, fresh artwork, cool hosting partners, artists and more! The three-day festival takes place in Velder Woods in the south of the Netherlands each July; showcasing thrilling live shows and the finest electronic music.

“We will make this edition the best one yet, pushing the boundaries of what we call “Live music with an electronic soul”.  

This year’s edition of We Are Electric Festival will showcase more than 60 artists from a range of genres. Eric Prydz, Richie Hawtin and Nina Kraviz will headline the first day of the event. Day two will showcase Disclosure and Oscar and the Wolf, amongst many other renowned names. The Chemical Brothers, Alan Walker, Netsky and Donnie will headline the final day. Other notable names include Pendulum, San Holo, NGHTMRE and Sam Feldt.

How to get around Eindhoven

Travelling to and around Eindhoven is easy with Holland’s public transport system. The nearest airport is Eindhoven Airport, located approximately 10 minutes from the city centre. Visitors can take bus routes 400 and 401 directly to the city centre. When travelling around Eindhoven, the easiest way to get around is by bus, with intercity trains available for long distances. The most common way to get around the Netherlands is by bike. Bike rental options are available throughout the city and bike paths are available on most main roads.

The quickest and easiest way to get to the festival is via train or bus. You can take the train to Station Boxtel, followed by a bus directly to the event. Shuttle buses are also available for the event and will depart from a number of major Dutch cities. Parking is also available on site for visitors who are driving to and from the event. 

Where to stay for We Are Electric Festival 2019

The best way to experience We Are Electric Festival is to camp! The Electric Village is the official festival campsite, with accommodation options to suit every budget. You can bring your own tent or purchase a complete package with pre-pitched tents and camping gear. Pre-pitched tent options include the Kartent House, Camping style, Festival Classic Tipi, Tipi Deluxe, and Safari De Luxe, which are all available for up to two people. For larger options, the Luxury Dome is available for four to five people, the Festival Caravan is available for two to four people and the Wooden Shelter is available for four to six people. The Electric Together package is also available for groups of eight, twelve and sixteen people.

There are also a number of nearby hotel options located in Liempde. Popular hotels include Boerderij & Bakhuis, Het Hof and B&B de Rekkendonken, and are within walking distance of the event. You can explore a number of nearby hotels and Airbnb options below.

Things to do in Eindhoven

The city of Eindhoven offers a number of attractions. The city is home to many popular museums, such as the Van Abbe Museum, Philips Museum and DAF Museum. The heart of the city is also home to St. Catherine’s Church, a historic neo-gothic Catholic Church. Just outside the city centre, you can find Dierenrijk, an interactive city zoo featuring encounters and feeding opportunities. Zoo Veldhoven is also a popular zoo, featuring open-air exhibits and a variety of exotic animals.

The next edition of We Are Electric Festival will take place from July 5-7, 2019.
