Touch Bass 2019: Don’t miss a beat this Easter long weekend!

Fuzzy, Electric Circus and Pitch Control are bringing back their leading breakbeat party Touch Bass to venues nationwide this Easter long weekend. Over four days, six international headliners and local supporting acts will bring the ultimate bass experience around Australia and New Zealand. Promising the loudest rigs, biggest productions and best venues, the bass filled mini-festival is one you won’t want to miss!

This year’s edition of Touch Bass will be headlined by none other than Canadian space queen Rezz. Making her very first Australian arena run, Rezz will be bringing her full live LED showcase down under. Fellow Canadian prodigy Ekali will share the stage with the world renowned headliner. Across the pond, UK’s finest bass artists have been carefully selected to head downunder. Sitting at the top of the dubstep tree in 2018, Zomboy has established himself as one of the best and will be supporting on his first arena run down under. Dubstep pioneer Rusko will be returning to Australia for the first time in over a decade. Drum & Bass hero Macky Gee and UK Bass leading light Holy Goof will also join the nationwide tour.

How to get to Sydney

Upon arrival in Sydney, there are a number of affordable methods to travel to the Sydney CBD and surrounding areas. Direct trains into the city are available at both Domestic and International terminals while buses also operate between the airport and nearby suburbs. 

Hordern Pavilion can be accessed by both car and public transport. The venue is only a 10 minute drive from the CBD and 15 minutes from the airport. Parking is available at the Entertainment Quarter and is free for the first two hours. If you are arriving after 6pm, there is an evening flat rate of $7.

The nearest bus stop is ‘ANZAC Parade, near Lang Road’ and is frequented by a number of services. Lines 374, 376 travel via Circular Quay, the Hyde Park Area and Central station to the venue. A generous number of direct bus services are available from Circular Quay, Martin Place, St James, Museum, Railway Square, Central, Bondi Junction, Newtown and Marrickville. 

Where to stay for Touch Bass Sydney

Located at The Entertainment Quarter in Moore Park, Hordern Pavillion is easily accessible from the city centre of Sydney. The nearest hotel is The Hughenden Boutique Hotel, located 1km from the venue. A number of apartment rentals and airbnb options are also available within walking distance of the venue. 

Due to its central location, affordable accomodation options are available throughout the Sydney CBD, just a short drive or bus ride from the venue. Popular nearby areas include Surry Hills, Darling Harbour, Hyde Park and The Rocks. If you are looking for a unique yet affordable option, Sydney is home to one of the best hostels in the world! 

Things to do in Sydney

The list of things to see and do in Sydney is endless. If you are staying in the Moore Park area, the Entertainment Quarter features a number of fun activities. Hoyts Cinemas conveniently has two locations located within the Entertainment Quarter, filled with all the latest movies. Strike Bowling features a number of exciting activities including 12 bowling lanes, a million-dollar laser tag arena, private karaoke rooms and more! A number of special offers are also available after 5pm, including $20 unlimited laser tag on Fridays and $20 unlimited activities on Mondays! The Entertainment Quarter is also home to ‘Off-Piste’, a unique venue offering indoor ski & snowboard simulators! 

In addition to the Entertainment Quarter, there are countless things to do throughout the city. World famous attractions including the Sydney Opera House, Bondi Beach and Sydney Harbour Bridge are frequented by thousands of visitors daily. Popular day trips include Luna Park and Taronga Zoo and can be easily accessed via a short ferry ride. Sydney is also home to a number of world famous restaurants and bars as well as countless independent food chains and local vendors.
