Each year for four days, a picturesque town on the outskirts of Solvesborg in southern Sweden comes alive with head-banging, rocking music during the Sweden Rock Festival. Perhaps in ancient times, the site was the very same location where Vikings pillaged and conquered towns. Today, the area sees a different kind of action altogether, with guitars and drums replacing ancient armory while the sweet sound of metal fills the air.
The Sweden Rock Festival is recognized as one of the best outdoor music festivals in Europe, and through the years it, too, has become the pilgrimage du jour for rock fans throughout the region. No surprise there, since they have managed to bring together some of the best names in hard rock, classic rock, blues, metal, and much more. It offers much more than just quality music: world-class service and hospitality await all festival goers. Event organizers seem to have perfected the formula for creating an ideal outdoor event over the past few years. From top-notch delicious food in an array of styles, to state-of-the-art sound quality and stage design, everything about the Sweden Rock Festival makes it the ultimate event for metal heads around the world. This is, without a doubt, the music event you’ve all been waiting for.
