Supersized Kingsday 2019: Celebrate Like A Royal

Supersized Kingsday Festival returns to Aquabest in Best, Netherlands on the 27th of April. Celebrating Kingsday for its 6th annual edition, the harder styles festival is one of the ‘biggest and cosiest’ festivals on offer for the Dutch celebration.

‘Koningsdag’ or King’s Day is a national holiday celebrated in the kingdom of the Netherlands each year. The Dutch holiday is celebrated wearing orange costumes and attending parties, concerts, festivals and local gatherings. 

“With us, you’re a king for one day!” 

The annual celebration hosted by b2s, features the biggest and best names in the harder styles; spread out over nine exclusive areas. The stages will host everything from hardstyle to hardcore, uptempo, raw style and more. This year’s lineup features the hottest hardstyle acts including Brennan Heart, D-Block & S-te-Fan, Phuture Noize, Sub Zero Project and Wildstylez. The Hardcore stage will host legends such as Angerfist, Evil Activities, Paul Elstak and Sefa. Hardstyle Classics will play home to popular hardstyle stars including Max Enforcer, Luna and The Pitcher. Other popular artists such as Radical Redemption, The Sickest Squad and Andy The Core make up the impressive bill of over 90 acts. See the full lineup here.

How to get around Best

Getting around Best is quick and easy with Holland’s extensive public transport system. The nearest major airport is Eindhoven Airport, located approximately 15 minutes from the venue. Visitors can travel to the festival by train to ‘Best’ station for only a couple of euros. Shuttle buses will transport visitors from the train station to the festival grounds and back. You can purchase the ‘Oranje-retour- ticket in advance and receive a 20% discount on your return ticket on Kingsday. Extra long trains will be operating throughout the weekend and schedules may vary from regular times due to the public holiday. 

Official bus partners offer travel packages from various major cities around the Netherlands to and from the festival. The official partners include partybussen, party-vervoer and eventtravel and offer direct travel to and from the festival in addition to a festival ticket. 

Parking is also available at the festival passes can be purchased on the day for 10 euros (cash only). Parking areas open at 11 am and parking stewards will guide you to designated spots on arrival. 

Where to stay for Supersized Kingsday 2019

Located at the Aquabest Beach Park, a number of hotels are located within walking distance of the event. The nearest major city is Eindhoven, located 15 minutes south of Eindhoven. A range of affordable options ranging from hotels to Airbnbs can be found throughout the city and within walking distance of the central station. 

Things to do in Best

The small town of Best is located just a quick train ride away from the main city of Eindhoven. Aside from the Aquabest Beach Park, best is known primarily as a local neighbourhood. For visitors staying in Eindhoven, a range of activities and attractions are available. Popular museums include the Van Abbe Museum, Philips Museum and DAF Museum. The Dierenrijk interactive city zoo and Zoo Veldhoven features a variety of animals and open-air exhibits. Eindhoven is also home to some of the most interesting and stunning buildings in the Netherlands; including St. Catherines Church and Evoluon, the UFO-shaped conference centre.

Brennan Heart – Mr I Am Hardstyle himself Brennan Heart will return to the Supersized Kingsday main stage once again for an epic performance in true Dutch fashion. Celebrate Kingsday with one of the kings of the harder styles. 

Sefa – Holland’s fastest growing hardcore artist Sefa will share the hardcore stage with some of the biggest names in the book. The Frenchcore prodigy made his first track at only 12 years old, and now at 18, he is one of the most sought out hardcore act in the world. The unique combination of classical music with fast beats and hard dance elements have shaped this DJ’s unique sound and he can now be found on the biggest stages in the world. 

Wildstylez – Dutch DJ and hardstyle pioneer Wildstylez finally returns to the Supersized Kingsday stage for an action-packed set filled with iconic hardstyle anthems. Check out everything from his radio hits to brand new music with some of the best names in the business!
