The Sea Otter Classic is the world’s premier and the biggest cycling festival featuring professional and bike athletes. The event is held annually in Monterey, California, USA and features hundreds of exhibitors, demos, kids activities, gran fondos and tours. The three day event will be held from 19th to 22nd April 2018, combining competition events, the festival and recreational biking.

The next Sea Otter Classic will be held on 19th to 22nd April 2018. For athletes, registration opens on 1st November 2017 for the 2018 event. Visitors can watch the cycling competition at the Laguna Seca start and finish lines and in some designated spectator areas along Fort Ord National Monument. There are also family-friendly activities like the Bike Play Zone for kids, mountain bike day camp, carnival and seasonal egg hunt.
Camping areas are available in the event grounds. However, there are also hotels near the event location such as the Monterey Plaza Hotel and Spa, Los Laureles Lodge, Embassy Suites, and Portola Hotel and Spa.
Monterey has a great public transit line, the Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST). Visitors can also ride a shuttle, car/limousine rental and taxi cabs around the area.
Monterey has heaps of things to do. Monterey Bay Aquarium is home to a sprawling marine life. See the different kinds of marine species in the California coast. You may also go spelunking in the Pinnacles National Park or enjoy the ocean view in the Fort Ord Dunes State Park.
Go on a historical sightseeing in the Monterey Old Town Historic District Park, Colton Call, Point Pinos Lighthouse and Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History.
