Held in the town of Antwerp each February, Reverze is Belgium’s biggest indoor Hard Dance event. Each year, over 20,000 hard dance lovers travel from all over the world to celebrate the world renowned event. Representing styles such as hardstyle, hardcore, jumpstyle and more, 40 local and international artists come together to debut their latest and upcoming work. A generous number of live shows and exclusive back to back performances make up the star studded bill of artists. This year’s edition will see the debut of D-Block & S-te-Fan’s brand new live show ‘Ghost Stories’ among other exclusive acts. Hardstyle veterans Coone and Brennan Heart will also join forces to present once in a lifetime back to back performance.
Reverze takes place in the Sportpaleis and Lotto Arena in Antwerp, Belgium (Schijnpoortweg 119, 2170 Antwerpen, Belgium).
The city of Antwerp is located an hour north of the Belgian capital, Brussels. The nearest airport is Antwerp International airport, which is located 20 minutes from the city centre. Local trains regularly travel to Antwerp central station from most major cities in Belgium, including Brussels, Ghent and Liège. The Thalys train service also operates between The Netherlands, Belgium and France, making it quick and easy to travel internationally. Affordable coach services such as FlixBus also travel between countries including most major cities in Germany and surrounding areas.
Sportpaleis and Lotto Arena is easily accessible by public transport. Tram/Metro lines 2 and 6 frequently travel directly to the venue from the central station and each trip takes around 9 minutes. There are many parking options and nearby parking lots available around the venue as well.
A generous range of hotels and hostels are available throughout the city centre of Antwerp. Accomodation surrounding the central station are popular due to price as well as the close proximity of direct public transport. Many hotels are also available within the city centre, closer to the water and tourist attractions. Alternatively, Airbnb’s are also available in and around Antwerp and can be found within walking distance of the venue.
Many visitors often disregard accomodation and choose to travel directly to and from the event as it runs overnight. Travelling both domestically and internationally is very common, bringing only the festival necessities. Lockers are available at the central station to store any luggage or belongings and nearby hotels may also be able to store bags and valuables.
The city of Antwerp is primarily centred around museums and cathedrals. Popular museums include Museum aan de Stroom, Plantin-Moretus Museum and ModeMuseum. Antwerp also has a wide range of stunning monuments and architecture. Grote Markt square is filled with extravagant buildings and is within walking distance of the river.
Many shopping malls ranging from department stores to designer goods are located in and around the city centre. Countless food options can be found throughout the malls as well as in the city centre. Fish a’gogo is home to some of the most popular street food in Antwerp. Belgian fries, waffles and truffles are also a must during any visit.
