Barreling beachbreaks at the Quiksilver Pro France, Hossegor

Quiksilver Pro France 2022 will be the sixth stop on the men and women’s Challenger Series. For those with world championship qualifying aspirations, the final push starts in the world-class A-frames of Hossegor in the southwest of France.

Big tide swings, long days, amazing food and culture, it’s easy to see why the tour keeps coming back here every year. From the amazing variety of surf scapes from Biarritz to Anglet, to Capbreton, to Hossegor serves as the heart and soul of the European surf scene. Mundaka and the waves the Spanish Basque country are only a couple hour drive away as well. And whether it’s a big night out at the famous Rock Food bar in Hossegor or enjoying a healthy serving of muscle at a local bistro, there’s a reason the French are so famous for their culinary experiences.

How to get to Hossegor

The closest airport to Hossegor is Biarritz which is 35 minutes drive north of the airport (40 km’s). Alternatively you can fly to San Sebastian across the border in Spain which is a 44 minute drive (48 km’s).

Public transport – there is a railway station in Bayonne which contacts from Paris.

Once you arrive in Hossegor there up so many epic beach breaks up and down the coast. The best way to discover the area is to rent a car either directly from the airport or in town.

Quiksilver Pro France 2022 Dates

Quik Pro will be heading to the beaches of Hossegor from October 15-23, 2022.
